Calling All Poetry Writers Poetry Writing Contest!
You’re invited to enter your creative poems!
–Submit your Poems to the Neillsville Public Library in the month of March
–Stop in at the library and turn it in at the desk OR submit via email to: director@neillsville.lib.wi.us
–Deadline to submit poems: Monday, March 31st
Prizes are based on three age categories:
- Youth Grades Kindergarten through 6th Grade
- Middle/High School Grades 7th through 12th
- Adult 18+
The winners are invited to read their poem at our Poetry night on Wednesday, April 23rd at 6 pm at NPL.

Silent Reading Party
March is National Reading Month,
and to celebrate Read Across America,
The Neillsville Public Library will be hosting a SILENT READING PARTY for Adults!
Come to the library, and get a hot drink and a snack. Find a comfortable spot in the library to read silently (together) for one hour! Wednesday, March 12th at 6 pm.
Bring the book of your choice or find one on our shelves and read for one hour silently with your fellow library patrons! This event will begin
with refreshments, then an hour of reading,
and end with small, quiet discussions about
your reading experience. We look forward
to “reading” with you!
and/or book
6:30-7:30 PM–Silent reading
(as quietly as you can)
7:30 PM—Wrap up, short individual
discussions and feel refreshed
from mindful quietness
2025 Keyword Reading Challenge
A new year a new reading challenge. Your task is simple. HOW IT WORKS—Read 24 books this year. Read TWO books each month with one (or more) of the keywords in the title. The challenge is available at the library or you can download it here.

Neillsville Storybook Trail
You are invited to visit our brand new Storybook Trail!!
Where: Schuster Park along the walking path
What: Enjoy this new opportunity in our Schuster Park along the walking path as children of all ages experience the fun of reading and some trivia while walking along the beautiful park path. At the end of the storybook walk, Please sign our guestbook through the QR code on the last post of the trail! The StoryWalk Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
